MIHUANI: SAIRI FORSMAN
When I first met Mihuani (The Cannibal) he was surrounded by trees, as if he was in his own natural environment. It was a rainy afternoon, perhaps a little cold. Anyway, there was a drop of water that was about to fall off his chin, a drop of water that could also be sweat, sweat as the consequence of a long run; or saliva, product of the rage coming from his strength.
What is the source of the strength of Mihuani?
The strength of Mihuani comes from his foot. Not from the foot that supports the body from the ground, but from the foot that is suspended in space only to tear this space apart and create a new one, it is this foot the source of his strength… Or is it the center? …the center that creates the angle between the legs. The strength rises up from the foot to the center, the center of the body, which is for sure the place where he finds his balance, his strength, something that makes him lean forward, move hunting, extend his arms accurately. It is this movement that allows his presence.
Mihuani… is he hunting or is he running away? The strength comes from his movements, from the foot that supports his strength, the strength of the black color of his skin… Who does not see him? Who does not feel the strength in his eyes? His eyes have the strength, his eyes from a long distance, his eyes from a short distance, his eyes…
The strength of Mihuani may come from its own strength, or from the strength of Sairi Forsman.
